The Matson Museum of Anthropology at Penn State University explores what defines humanity – from the origins of human evolution to the cultural expressions of past and present societies.
To showcase the collection, REIER produced 14 freestanding display cases, including seven with integrated LED lighting, two T34 table display cases and two spectaKLR glazing systems. The freestanding and table display cases combine clean design with conservation-grade security: anti-reflective, UV-filtering laminated safety glass, concealed fittings and security locks ensure protection and a calm, object-centred presentation.
The table display cases also feature soft-close drawers for the protected presentation of additional exhibits. The spectaKLR systems complement the exhibition with flush-mounted, minimalist glazing featuring concealed technology. This creates exhibition spaces that safely preserve sensitive anthropological objects whilst allowing them to be experienced directly.
