Musée du château fort / Sedan

The Musée du château fort is located within the medieval fortress complex of the Château fort de Sedan – the largest surviving medieval castle in Europe. With its massive bastions, meter-thick walls, and kilometers of ramparts, the impressive structure powerfully conveys the defensive strength of past centuries.
For the exhibition “Chefs-d’œuvre ! Armour from the princes’ collection” the Musée de l’Armée (Invalides, Paris) provided the museum with eight extraordinary 16th-century suits of armor on loan. REIER supplied eight custom-designed modular display cases, equipped with passive microclimate control, ensuring optimal presentation and protection for these precious exhibits.
