The State Hermitage Museum - Byzantine Exhibition / St. Petersburg

An increased interest in Byzantine Art led to the creation of some splendid private collections in 19th and 20th century Russia. The largest of these collections are now united under one entity, The State Hermitage Museum. The extensive assemblage collection boasts the world’s second largest collection of Byzantine mirrors, containing a total of 12,000 samples. A selection of stone sculptures, coins, mosaics and enamel works are also on view.

REIER delivered 34 display cases, equipped with the latest LED-light generators and anti-reflective glass. The interiors of the cases in addition to the well-thought-out technical details met the requirements of modern museum display brilliantly.
