Museum am Rothenbaum - Kulturen und Künste der Welt (MARKK) / Hamburg

The Museum am Rothenbaum – Kulturen und Künste der Welt, short: MARKK, is one of the largest ethnographic museums in Europe. It promotes the appreciation of cultures and arts of the world.

Through its diverse exhibition and event program, the MARKK creates spaces for cultural encounter and critical reflection. The extensive holdings, which include objects as well as historical photographs from Africa, Asia, Oceania, America and Europe, date back to the mid-19th century and reflect the worldwide historical interconnectedness of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg.

For the design of the three exhibitions “Hamburg and Tyrol”, “Water Messages” and “Loose Ends”, REIER manufactured a total of 94 display cases, including 40 table display cases, 20 freestanding display cases and 34 modular display cases, which can be used quite flexibly in the exhibitions due to their modular design.
