Musée Granet Aix-en-Provence

The Granet Museum in Aix-en-Provence was honored to receive on loan 120 works of art from the collection of Jean Planque, the Swiss painter and collector who passed away in 1998. The restored Chapel of the White Penitents, a gem of 17th-century architecture, provided additional space for the museum to exhibit the works from this magnificent collection.

In implementing the project, the museum and the scenographer, SALUCES, relied on REIER’s experience and craftsmanship. Anti-reflective glass, used for the climate controlled display cases, enables the viewer to truly appreciate the works. Though challenged by a tight schedule and an ambitious conceptual design, REIER delivered several very large display cases that open via a single-piece front panel.
