Dominikanerkloster Prenzlau / Prenzlau

Museum of Cultural History

The Dominikanerkloster in Prenzlau presents itself with a completely redesigned permanent exhibition and a modern addition to the cloister. Visitors can now experience an impressive combination of historical architecture and contemporary museum design.
The exhibition is laid out as a clockwise circular route and covers the oldest history of Prenzlau, from the founding of the town to the Thirty Years’ War. It places a special focus on the history of the town and monastery and is designed to be both informative and easily accessible.

For the permanent exhibition, REIER supplied 14 frames covered with gauze to shade the windows, 48 steles, most of which are backlit and laminated with graphics and texts, 23 table display cases with LED panels and laminated texts, eight freestanding display cases and two cambered display cases.
