Castle Freudenstein - "terra mineralia" Collection
Freiberg

The “terra mineralia” collection, a permanent collection housed in the Freudenstein Castle Freiberg, has been opened to the public in 2008 and attracted, ever since, thousands of visitors. Three floors display more than 5,000 objects from five continents. The collection, the world’s largest collection of minerals, originates from the “Paul Ströher Mineral Foundation”.

The exhibition is equipped with 150 special display cases, featuring different lighting and shelf board systems. Their design corresponds to the special requirements necessary to present twinkling minerals and sparkling gemstones.
