PROJECT DETAILS

Museum of Arts and Crafts
Hamburg

With a first-rate collection spanning 4,000 years of human history, the self-described universal Museum of Arts and Crafts in Hamburg is one of Europe’s leading archives of applied arts. After a refurbishment of the central building and the Hartog Wing, the museum reopened its doors in 2005.

For these fresh and new exhibit spaces, REIER delivered more than 100 display cases of different types to shelter the faience and porcelain collection as well as to furnish the Hartog Gallery.

A special challenge for our designers and glass specialists were the bow-shaped passages between the different exposition halls, where the display cases had to be custom fit.
